Knoxville (WVLT) -- What does saving a life have to do with a giant gorilla statue?
Saturday's Fifth Annual "Saving Little Hearts" mini-golf tournament answered that question.
Its proceeds went to battle congenital heart defects in children.
According to organizers, hosting the fundraiser at a mini-golf course appeals to everyone while spreading the word about the charity.
"It helps to get the knowledge out about Saving Little Hearts," said Sharon Miller, one of the organizers. "It gives a little bit more information, so people can understand how prevalent congenital heart defects are."
Participants donated $10 to $15 to play in the 36 hole tournament.
They were also treated to breakfast and had the opportunity to get their photo taken with a UT athletes.
