Anderson County Sheriff Hopes For New Deputies

Anderson County (WVLT) - The Anderson County Sheriff will try again today to hire eight additional deputies to the force.

Later today, Sheriff Paul White will propose 250-thousand dollars to a budget committee in order to get the additional help the department needs.

Sheriff White says he's hopeful the money will be approved so the proposal can be voted on by the commission.

The commission must have at least 12 votes in order for the proposal to be approved.
