Knox County Man Killed in Crash

Anderson County (WVLT) - A Knox County man has died after a car hit his vehicle head-on.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 63 year-old Alvin York of Devonia was driving East on Oak Ridge Highway in Anderson County at about 11:00 a.m. on Friday.

Officers say another vehicle driven by 23 year-old Mark Bernard of Oak Ridge crossed the center line and hit York's SUV.

York died of his injuries.

Bernard was injured, but there is no word on the extent of his injuries.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
