Knoxville (WVLT) -- Police are investigating a second robbery on the University of Tennessee campus in under a week.

The latest robbery happened Saturday morning around 7:00 outside of Hess Hall on Melrose Place.

According to police, a female student was approached by a black male who physically grabbed her purse.

Officers responded immediately, but the suspect was gone when they arrived.

He is described as 6'2, 200 lbs with brown hair.

The victim said he had a deep voice and wore a dew rag, white t-shirt, blue jean shorts and distinct blue and white shoes.

On Tuesday, a student was robbed just a few blocks away on the corner of Caledonia and 21st St.

In that robbery, five people wearing similar clothing brandished a handgun and demanded money.

It is also still under investigation.
