Chattanooga's Mayor Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

An aide said in a statement today that Littlefield's physician determined that the diagnosis has been made early and a full recovery is expected.

The statement says Littlefield will be continuing tests and will undergo treatment before the end of the year.

Littlefield said he encourages men to talk to their doctors about prostate cancer and to undergo the tests for early detection.
