Knoxville (WVLT) - The Tennessee Highway Patrol is hoping to increase its staff.
The THP was one of dozens of organizations that took part in a job fair at Rothchild's Catering Tuesday.
They showcased different jobs available within THP, such as troopers, communication, and drivers license.
Lieutenant Jesse Brooks tells us half of the people interested were women.
That's something he says is important to have in their department.
"It's always been open to women, but a lot of women don't know the opportunities. They still think it's a man's world and we're trying to show them it's open to everybody," says Lt. Brooks.
