LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A plane carrying three Lexington, Kentucky, men that crashed into a shopping center in Tennessee last month was out of fuel.
That's according to a preliminary report released yesterday by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The pilot attempted to make an emergency landing after noticing he was low on fuel.
The small plane crashed and hit a light pole at Brainerd Village Shopping Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, about 2,000 feet from the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport runway.
All four people aboard the plane were hospitalized. No one on the ground was injured.
