Tennessee Daycare Workers Charged with Taping Child, Appear in Court

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn -- Two daycare workers charged with taping a infant's pacifier to his mouth inside a Jefferson County daycare last month, appeared in court today.

But not for long.

Kim Ball and Angela Day face charges of child abuse.

But today's hearing was delayed, because one of the suspects did not have an attorney.

In September, state workers found four and half month old DeShawn Toner shut in a dark room with a pacifier taped to his mouth with packing tape inside the Noah's Ark daycare.

The daycare is currently closed.
