Pot Pie Recall

(WVLT) - Conagra Foods is adding a voluntary recall of it's Banquet Pot Pies and Store Brand Varieties after they were linked to a nationwide Salmonella outbreak.

The company is warning consumers not to eat the pies and to throw them away, and they are offering refunds.

The company issued a consumer alert on Wednesday, and asked stores to stop selling the chicken and turkey pies, but stopped short of a recall until now.

I have some of these pot pies in my freezer, how do I get a refund? If a problem was suspected, why did it take so long for a recall?
