KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) Knoxville Police officers now say a Knoxville woman who claims she was raped and carjacked early Wednesday morning won't cooperate.
KPD spokesperson Darrell DeBusk said police are still looking into her claims, but adds the woman refuses to go to hospital and has changed her story multiple times.
Around 4:00 am Wednesday morning, the woman called police and said she was raped and carjacked.
Police say she told them just after midnight she went to her mother's house to borrow her car and some money for her child's field trip.
On her way home, the woman claims she was driving through the Lonsdale area when two men walked up to the car, raped and carjacked her.
The woman claims she managed to walk back to her mother's house to call police.
