KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) FBI agents are trying to track down a man who robbed a West Knox County bank.
And tonight, they have a new clue from a nearby restaurant.
A man dressed in a white shirt, black dress pants, a red tie, red suspenders, and sunglasses robbed the Community South Bank at 11543 Kingston Pike around 11:15 am.
That's near Campbell Station Road.
According to Knox County Sheriff's deputies the suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money.
He fled the scene.
But shortly before noon, KPD received a 9-1-1 call from an employee at the O'Charley's in Turkey Creek.
An employee there was suspicious of a man who entered the restaurant accompanied by a woman.
Both went straight to the bathroom.
According to deputies, the man emerged a short time later, with a shaved head, and left the restaurant with a woman.
The male had a backpack with him, and is described as a white male with very red skin wearing a gray t-shirt with a pink and white design on the right back shoulder.
When police officers searched the restroom, they say they found a bag of clothes in the garbage.
The clothes matching the description of the ones the bank robber was wearing during the robbery.
Hair clippings were also found.
Police describe the woman he was with as white, in her late 30’s – early 40’s, approximately 5’5” tall and weighing 140 pounds, with dirty blonde long hair, wearing gray sweatpants and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
