Commissioners Hope To Make Meetings More Accessible To Public

Knoxville (WVLT) - Knox County Commissioners will meet Monday to make another big decision.

Commissioners are expected to discuss moving commission meetings from two until five in the afternoon, in order to promote more community involvement.

The change was brought up after Knox County residents complained they were not more informed about the recent Knox County Commission appointments made in January.

Officials warn votes to move the meetings to a later time have failed before.

The Commission will also vote to have a pre-determined public hearing time, place and format before any elected official vacancy can be filled.
