KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Vol basketball guard Josh Tabb underwent successful surgery on Monday in Knoxville, according to the University of Tennessee.
Tennessee Basketball athletic trainer Chad Newman says the surgery was to repair an orbital blow-out fracture to Tabb's right eye.
Tabb, a sophomore, suffered the injury during practice last Tuesday.
He's expected to be out of action for 7-10 days.
Tabb averaged 3.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in his freshmen season with the Vols.
He played in each of the Vols’ 35 games, and started three times.
