CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A judge in Chattanooga has sent a child killing case to a grand jury.
Jamar McField remains in jail in lieu of 1.1 million dollars bond in the beating death of 4-year-old Keanon Beamon, the son of McField's girlfriend.
Forensic pathologist Jim Metcalf testified the child had injuries to his abdomen, chest and head that included a 10-inch tear in his liver.
Investigators say McField was babysitting the boy while his girlfriend Karen Railey worked and that he punished the child because he wet his clothing.
