Knoxville (WVLT) - A volunteer from the Red Cross here in Knoxville is in San Diego. Theresa Dorian left early Wednesday afternoon to help with the relief effort.
Dorian says she'll be there to help victims of the disaster in the recovery effort - that could be anything from making a hotel reservation to providing counseling.
"There are lots of fires and a lot of people who need a lot of help out there, and I'm a trained disaster volunteer, and so I go when i'm called, basically," Dorian said.
Dorian anticipates she'll be in California for about two or three weeks.
