MADISONVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Morgan County's top cop awarded two of his own deputies for their hard work in solving more than 40 burglaries.
Monroe County Sheriff Bill Bivens and Chief Deputy Bryan Graves presented Certificates of Excellence to Captain Detective Michael Morgan and Lieutenant Detective Travis Jones.
"Morgan and Jones went above and beyond, working continuously for several days, to assure that all avenues were covered, all possible property recovered, and that all of the warrants and associated paperwork were filed appropriately," Sheriff Bivens said in a prepared news release.
Bivens says their work putting the suspected burglars behind bars shut down an operation that was costing the citizens of Monroe County property and peace of mind.
