Knoxville (AP) -- Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer says Vols cornerback Marsalous Johnson and offensive tackle Eric Young will likely miss the rest of the season because of knee injuries.
Johnson did not play in the 24th-ranked Vols 27-24 overtime win over No. 23 South Carolina yesterday after suffering what team officials believed to be a torn meniscus in his knee during the week leading up to the game.
Fulmer told The Knoxville News Sentinel that the injury was not reported so the Gamecocks would not have a personnel advantage.
As for Young, Fulmer said he had surgery this morning after being forced from yesterday's game, but is out for the rest of the season.
