Strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon and through the evening, with gusty winds, large hail, heavy rain and lightning. Isolated tornados are also possible.
Knoxville (WVLT) - Most people have a coat or two in their closets they don't use and it can be donated to help someone else.
Volunteer TV's Liz Tedone tells us how.
This year is the 22nd year annual Coats For the Cold campaign.
Its to benefit Knox Area Rescue Ministries.
This year, they are hoping to get more than 10,000 coats.
You can drop off a new or gently used coat at any Goody's or Prestige Cleaners in the Knoxville area through November 19th.
The coats will then be cleaned by Prestige Cleaners and given out in December.
"Last year, we did just a little over 10,000 and we gave every single one of them away and what we're seeing, with increase demands for services and number of people coming through our door and the number of people coming into Knox County, we know that needs going to be even greater," said Burt Rosen, President of KARM.
The is a special need for kids, teens, larger sizes and trendy coats.
