Gas Shut Off For Some West Knoxville Customers After Line Break

Knoxville (WVLT) - Crews with KUB are working to repair a gas line break in West Knoxville.

The break happened just after noon Tuesday near the intersection of Weisgarber and Lonas.

A KUB representative tells us that someone was digging and hit the two-inch service line, causing it to break.

They say about 13 customers do not have gas service.

Crews are now assessing the damage to the line and are working to repair it.

The Knoxville Fire Department is on the scene to ensure safety.

Weisgarber was shut down for a short time but is now back open.
