Knoxville (WVLT) - Fire crews are at the scene of a massive house fire.
The fire is at a home at 321 Laurel Ridge Lane and began at about 4:30 p.m.
Aerial video shows heavy smoke and flames.
A neighbor across the street from the fire tells us the house was occupied and the residents all got out okay.
They also say they are not being evacuated from their home at this time.
KFD Captain Brent Seymour tells Volunteer TV that fire crews originally started attacking the fire from inside the home, but because it grew too much and they had to evacuate the home.
Seymour says the upper level sustained the most damage.
They are now working from the outside and trying to prevent the flames from jumping to other houses.
