Knoxville (WVLT) - There's been a possible shooting in north Knoxville, and police are trying to locate the shooting victim.

Volunteer TV's Liz Tedone has the story.

Knoxville Police got a call around 8:40 about a possible shooting at 2704 Forestdale Avenue.

Police say they responded to a call where shots rang out, but when they arrived on the scene the suspect and victim were gone. A witness on the scene told police no one was shot but, a victim was pistol whipped.

Three people were taken into custody, but authorities are looking for several more including the victim. No names have been released at this time.

Police are looking for a maroon Nissan 240 SX. They say this incident isn't random and involves an ongoing dispute between those involved.

We'll continue to follow this story.

I hope someone actually starts searching this out. I love how this story has been pushed under the rug. That house has had major traffic coming out of it for over a year now, and I noticed the lights are already on a day later after a shooting, a car wreck at the end of the street after those involved sped away nearly crushing innocent children that were trick or treating. How are these people just allowed back home after an obvious drug deal gone bad? Common sense would tell you this. Friends don't dispute with DEADLY WEAPONS. The Knoxville Police obviously have dropped the ball yet again. Many innocent people were nearly injured/killed. ITS TIME TO CLEAR THE HOUSE OUT.
