Knoxville Police Say Halloween Was Mostly Quiet

Knoxville (WVLT) - The night that's known for mischievous pranks as much as it is for trick or treating, was quiet for the most part in Knoxville.

The Knoxville Police Department say they had extra officers patrolling the streets Wednesday night to make sure your Halloween night was as fun and safe as possible.

Besides a few of the normal Halloween pranks, KPD officers say the night went pretty well.

"Very few calls, we had some eggers but on the whole it went very well." said Officer Tim Edwards of the Knoxville Police Department.

Dispatchers say they are not aware of any major Halloween related crimes Wednesday night.

There were some reports of minor vandalism, officers are attributing the relatively calm night to the beefed up patrol.
