Hamblen County (WVLT) -- The man at the center of a domestic dispute that ending with a shootout with a Hamblen County sheriff's deputy, is now facing charges.
Sheriff Esco Jarnigan says just after 8:00 Wednesday night, a deputy was responding to a domestic call at 1910 Meadow Run Road when he heard gunshots coming from the house.
While trying to take cover, deputies say the suspects apparent girlfriend, Susie Lynn, 50 and the deputy were shot.
The sheriff says the deputy was able to taser Drag, after he ran out of bullets.
Neighbors say with parents and children out trick or treating, the situation could've been a lot worse.
"We just came in from trick or treating with my little girl and all the cop cars were around and we saw him laying down in his front yard," said Troy White. a neighbor. "They had him handcuffed, laying on the ground, and his wife was laying next to the cop car."
Officials say charges are pending against Drag.
We're told the deputy involved was only grazed by a bullet and has been treated for his injury.
There's no word on the victim's condition this morning.
