Investigators say the incident happened around 12:45 AM at the Renaissance II apartments on Highland Avenue in the Fort Sanders neighborhood.

According to the report, the victim was a UT student who told police he opened the door to let his friends inside when an unidentified male standing about 6’3, 250 forced his way through the door, waved a gun, and demanded money.

The victim said he had no money and the suspect left.

An email was sent out to UT students asking them to report any suspicious activity to the University of Tennessee Police Department or KPD.
