LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Police are looking for a suspect and motive in the stabbing death of a young stage actor appearing in his second Los Angeles production.
Darius Ever Truly, a Memphis native who moved to California last year, was killed early Saturday after a party.
The 26-year-old Truly had been scheduled to appear that night in the role of Black Panther Bobby Seale in "The Chicago Conspiracy Trial."
Truly and his 30-year-old female cousin were stabbed as they left a large party. She escaped with slight wounds but Truly was found in the street by other partygoers and died at the scene.
Truly grew up in Memphis and studied theater at Clark Atlanta University.
