(WVLT) - A Kentucky man has admitted to crossing the border to illegal obtain TennCare benefits, and investigators say his mother did the same thing.
The Office of Inspector General says Edward Dixon, 22, of Bowling Green, Kentucky pleaded guilty to TennCare fraud and theft of services.
They say Dixon claimed to be a resident of Cheatham County, Tennessee in order to qualify for TennCare.
He was sentenced to four years of probation and has to pay over $5,000 in restitution.
Investigator say Dixon's mother, Nancy Dixon, faced the same charges back in August.
They say she also claimed to live in Tennessee to obtain TennCare benefits.
She pleaded guilty to the same charges and was sentenced to four years probation and to pay over $4,000 in restitution.
