Knoxville (WVLT) -- "The Grandpa Bank Robber" now has a name.
A federal warrant has been issued for Bobby Joe Phillips, 69 of Covington, Georgia.
Phillips is listed at 5'10" and 170 lbs with gray hair, blue eyes and tattoos on his arms.
The warrant was signed this afternoon by United States Magistrate C. Clifford Shirley Jr., from the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee.
Phillips is wanted for a string of five bank robbers including Thursday's robbery of the Tennessee Members 1st Federal Credit Union in West Knoxville in which he displayed a gun and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
The warrant also sights robberies of the First Georgia Community Bank in Covington, Georgia on September 20, the First Tennessee Bank on Cedar Bluff Road in Knoxville on October 1, and again on October 12 and the SunTrust Bank in Suwanee, Georgia on October 24.
