Sevierville/Knoxville (WVLT) -- Santa Claus made a stop in East Tennessee on Sunday to help the holiday season become a little brighter for area children.
He was among the more than 3,000 people that took part in the 16th Annual Marine Corp Toys for Tots Bike Run.
The bikers began at the Sevier County Fairgrounds and rode to Chilhowee Park in Knoxville.
Organizers said even though the large number of participants made it a huge undertaking, it was still worth it.
"Being able to take care of the kid's Christmas, that's what it's all about for all of us," said J.T. Cash, one of the bikers that made the run. "You can look at all these volunteers here and that's what it's all about, about a Christmas for the kids that would not have a Christmas."
A total of 847 motorcycles made the run.
Everyone that was involved in the event donated at least one toy to the organization.
