Campbell County (WVLT) - Ice may be blame for an accident in Campbell County Tuesday morning.
Caryville Police say a Jeep Cherokee driven by Beverly Kirby was not able to stop before entering Highway 25W from Queener Road around 8 a.m.
Officers say the Jeep hit a northbound car, an Oldsmobile driven by Terry Carter.
Lifestar landed in front of Cove Lake State Park to load the injured.
Carter, along with Carly Anderson,4, were flown to UT Medical Center.
Caryville police think the Jeep hit a patch of ice.
"I think maybe ice," said Caryville Police Chief Bill Widener. "The lady that came off the side road said when she came to the intersection, she skidded. She thought she hit gravel, but looks like there might have been ice there."
Chief Widener says speeding and alcohol were *not factors in the accident.
Highway 25W in Campbell County is back open, after it was closed for nearly an hour this morning during the accident.
