Knoxville (WVLT) - Fire trucks were called to the U.T. Knoxville campus today for a report of a fire.
Fire trucks surrounded the Claxton Building around 8:40 a.m.
Images from Volunteer TV's Vol View camera showed a bit of smoke rising up from an area north of Neyland Stadium.
A Knoxville Fire Department spokesperson says the fire was in a chilling unit behind claxton.
A U.T. employee driving by spotted the smoke and alerted the university.
No classes were interrupted, nor were any buildings evacuated.
A spokesperson for UT says firefighters had everything contained in minutes.
"There was pretty heavy smoke at the beginning but it was very quickly contained," Amy Blakely said. "The fire department was on the scene in 90 seconds."
Blakely says the Claxton Building was completely unaffected by the incident.
