KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- University of Tennessee President John Petersen and UT-Knoxville Chancellor Loren Crabtree have issued a joint statement to faculty and staff outlining a revised blueprint for running the 44,000-student university, its five campuses and assorted institutes.
Details will come later, but the finished product is expected by March.
Involved is an accord between the UT administration and the Knoxville flagship campus over management responsibilities and oversight.
It may quell simmering turf wars over computers, athletics and a new high-tech science campus.
Petersen's first attempt at delineating the lines of responsibility came in a report he offered in August that found agreement among the heads of the Memphis, Martin, Chattanooga and Tullahoma campuses.
