FRATERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Many in Anderson County spent the day honoring those who died in one of history's most tragic mining disasters.
Today marks the 110th anniversary of the 1902 Fraterville mining disaster that killed 216 miners.
Now, new technology is helping unearth the the mystery.
On Friday, archeologists from UT used a radar to search for the unmarked graves of some 30 miners whose bodies were unclaimed and buried.
