Today Marks Anniversary Of Campbell County High Shooting

Campbell County (WVLT) - Today marks the day that police say teenage student Kenneth Bartley brought a gun to school and shot three Campbell County High School administrators.

Assistant Principal Ken Bruce died in the shooting.

Assistant Principal Jim Pierce and Principal Gary Seale were critically injured.

Both made full recoveries and returned to the school.

Bartley pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal, but has since hired Bruce Poston as his new attorney and filed an appeal.

The causes of this incident are still not understood even though there has been a year to investigate it. Bartley was a video game player and as such would have had Subliminal Distraction exposure. There have been other shootings with this exposure present. So little is known about SD that it is never considered when a college disappearance, suicide, or school shooting happens.
