Knoxville (WVLT) - Today will be a day of remembrance as the annual Veterans Day parade is set for later this morning.
Thursday, two Veterans Day memorials were held in Oak Ridge.
The Department Of Energy honored those who served our country and those still fighting.
Speakers stressed the importance of talking to "the greatest generation", those who died in World War Two.
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory also remembered our soldiers and recognized their families.
The East Tennesseee Veterans Memorial Association announced a memorial will be built at World's Fair Park to remember those who gave their lives in combat since World War One.
