Knoxville (WVLT) -- You have a chance today to get a free flu shot.
Volunteer TV's Allison Hunt has the details.
From 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, the Community Action Committee is offering free flu shots at the L.T. Ross Building on Western Avenue, whether you have insurance or not.
CAC says it's a way to prevent getting sick and also getting others sick.
They want to make sure, regardless of income, that everyone has the opportunity to get a shot.
"We'd like to invite everyone who hasn't been able to get their flu shot. It's open to everyone but we're particularly focusing on the uninsured, maybe people who are working and haven't been able to get a doctor," said Lori Galbraith with CAC.
The shot is available at the L.T. Ross Building in the multipurpose room.
FluMist will also be available for kids two to 18 years old.
If you have insurance, you are asked to bring your card.
But shots will be offered to anyone in the community without insurance.
