Friends Remember UT Student Killed In Crash

Knoxville (WVLT) - Friends and family will gather later today to remember the life of a University of Tennessee student killed in a car accident over the weekend.

21-year-old Adam Carter passed away early Saturday morning after a single car crash near the corner of Montlake Road in South Knoxville.
Police say alcohol and speed were a factor in the crash.
They also say Adam Carter was driving on a restricted license.
Carter was a senior at UT and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Bible study leaders and the university were at the Sig Ep house Sunday night talking to brothers and helping them cope with their loss.

Carter will be buried in his hometown of Huntingdon, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

His family will receive friends today from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Tuesday from 8:00am until 1:40 pm.

The Funeral will follow at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
