KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- The Maryville police chief says evidence of alcohol was found at the scene of an accident that claimed the life of a Maryville College assistant football coach.
Chief Tony Crisp says that evidence was found inside the truck driven by Cody Bowers Monday night, when it crashed into a tree on campus.
Crisp declined to comment on what the evidence is specifically.
Chief Crisp says Bowers' blood is being tested for alcohol, but the results aren't in yet.
No word on if Maryville Police also tested the two survivors.
