East Tennessee Mother To Be Arraigned For Killing Infant Son

Monroe County (WVLT) -- A Madisonville mother is expected to be arraigned on Monday, after being arrested earlier this week and charged with killing her three month old son.

The Monroe County Sheriff's department says Natasha McJunkin, 25, is facing criminally negligent homicide charges.

Investigators say officers responded to McJunkin's home on May 6th and found baby Bryce Burnette not breathing.

Deputies say McJunkin told them after she had given the baby a bottle and put him on the couch.

She then left the room to take a shower.

Bryce was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The autopsy report shows the baby's stomach was empty and he died of as a result of not being able to breath.
