(WVLT) - A strong start to the holiday shopping season could get even better today.
An Internet research firm is reporting a 22 percent gain in on-line sales on the day after Thanksgiving compared with the same day a year ago.
Sales totals could exceed 700 million dollars on-line today.
Researchers attribute the larger numbers mostly to convenience and free shipping.
According to a recent AOL poll, Philadelphia, Boston, Orlando, Seattle and Denver are the nation's top on-line shopping cities.
