Nashville (WVLT) -- It's certainly beginning to look a lot like the holidays across Tennessee.
In Nashville, they've been working for months to usher in the Christmas cheer!
DeAnn Stephens from our sister station WKYT has more details.
The festivities at the Gaylord Opryland are now underway, complete with a Christmas cruise down the Cumberland River.
From the outside, it may appear as if it's a smooth ride, cruising along the Cumberland.
But that's no indication of any lack of activity happening inside.
"I can definatly say that Christmas is going to come alive on the General Jackson this year. It's a brand new show, it's going to be so spectacular and the performers are amazing," said Former Miss America Ericka Dunlap.
Dunlap is one of those amazing performers this year.
She says the show is a nostalgic celebration of the season.
And with a special visit from Mr. Claus, you just can't go wrong to bring the entire family.
"It's going to be a lot of fun for all fmailies, especially for children, because we will have some audience participationn in our show and that means we're going to be selecting people of all ages to come up and trim the tree with us and maybe sing a couple of songs,"said Dunlap. "You're going to have a wonderful holiday meal and that will include either pot roast or chicken and the best of it all is the egg nog cheesecake. I can't wait myself!"
So not only will you need to bring your caroling voice, but it sounds like a healthy appetite too.
Christmas on the Cumberland runs through December 23rd.
