(WVLT) -- Governor Phil Bredesen has named a new senior adviser.
On Tuesday, the Governor named former staff member Will Pinkston to the position.
He will start in January.
The Governor's office says Pinkston will focus on development and management of some of the administration's key policy initiatives.
Pinkston served on the Governor's staff during his first term and was the communications director for Bredesen's successful re-election campaign.
Most recently, he worked as vice president for special projects at a public relations firm in Nashville.
Pinkston, a Nashville native, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
