Alcoa (WVLT) -- Part of U.S. 129 bypass will be closed this week so workers can complete a pipeline.
The City of Aloca Public Works and Engineering Department will close an exit lane off U.S. 129 Bypass on Thursday, November 29 and Friday, November 30.
The closure will effect the right lane from U.S. 129 Bypass north onto Louisville Road south.
Northbound traffic on the 129 Bypass needing to turn south, or right, on Louisville Road will be directed to exit at Bessemer Street.
The closure is required to complete a pipeline crossing on Louisville Road, to extend a waterline across to provide adequate fire protection service to the new developments in Hamilton Crossing.
