Well Known Knoxville Veterinarian Dies

Knoxville (WVLT) - A man known for treating, as well as taking in all kinds of animals ranging from household pets to emus, has died. Veterinarian Dr. William Butler.

Dr. Butler was also known to provide care to animals, even when their owners couldn't pay for it.

Weaver Funeral Home on Western Avenue is handling the funeral arrangements. Right now, they're still pending.

    DR. BUTTLER WAS A TRULY KIND HEARTED MAN WHOS LOVE AND CONSERN FOR ALL ANIMALS MADE HIM THE BEST VET I HAVE EVER KNOWN. HE TOUCHED THE LIVES OF MANY WHO COULD NOT AFFORD TO CARE FOR THEIR BEST FRIENDS.DR. BUTLER WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART MAY HE REST IN PEACE.MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY.

    GODSPEED Doc Butler. May the good Lord be with his family at this time. The good Doc was a very kind and giving man, and for all he did for the animals in this town, he will be missed greatly.
