Jefferson County Daycare Abuse Case Sent To Grand Jury

Jefferson City, Jefferson County (WVLT) -- A grand jury will decide whether the case of two caregivers charged with child abuse and neglect will go to trial.

Kim Ball and Angela Day appeared in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday morning for their preliminary hearing.

The two were arrested for child abuse and neglect after a four month old baby was found in a dark bathroom at Noah's Ark Nursery and Daycare with packing tape over his mouth.

A witness from the Department of Human Services testified that she found the baby after a complaint was made about the daycare.

Both women remain free on bond.

The case goes to the grand jury on January 2nd.

OK. ITS WRONG TO ABUSE A CHLD, TO NEGLECT A CHILD,TO SPANK A CHILD (ESPECIALLY IF THAT CHILD IS NOT YOUR OWN), OR TO TAPE A PACIFIER TO A CHILD'S MOUTH! I MEAN COME ON. DISIPLINE IS ONE THING, BUT THAT WAS CRUELTY. AND NO.. I WON'T GO INTO THE WHOLE SPANKING MATTER, B/C EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION. BUT IF YOU ARE LEAVING MARKS ON YOUR CHILD OR TAPING A PACIFIER TO THEIR MOUTH..... THAT'S ABUSE. AND AS FOR MARY... I PRAY YOUR DON'T HAVE CHILDREN, BECAUSE THAT'D BE A SHAME, AFTER READING YOUR RESPONSE. HOW DARE YOU SIT THERE AND READ THE STORY ABOVE AND THEN SAY " KIDS DON'T GET ENOUGH DISIPLINE TODAY." I'M IN PSYCHOLOGY AND THAT IS NOT A REACTION THAT A NORMAL PERSON SHOULD HAVE AFTER READING THAT STORY. GET HELP LADY, AND THE CARE TAKERS WHO DID THAT... WELL I HOPE THEY GET WHAT'S COMING TO THEM.

it is my opinion that kids today do not get enough disipline and that is what is wrong with kids today. They think that they can get away with anything.
