Deputies Respond To Pair Of Incidents On Thursday Morning In Knox County High Schools

Knox County (WVLT) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Department had a busy morning on Thursday after two incidents at county high schools.

The first happened at South-Doyle where rumors on the popular social networking website MySpace indicated a student may have brought a gun to school.

Extra officers were called in and the investigation turned up nothing.

A little later on in the morning, deputies responded to a fight at Powell where two brothers had gotten into a fight.

When a teacher stepped in to intervene, they were hit by one of the boys.

Officers took the boy into custody for assault on a school official, the other was uncharged.
