Knoxville (WVLT) - A special meeting is being called today concerning Knox County's dog ordinances after a 21 year old Knoxville woman was killed by pit bulls a little over two weeks ago.
The group is especially focusing on the way dangerous dogs and pit bulls are handled in Knox County after Jennifer Lowe was mauled to death at her Hardin Valley home.
Officials hope to have the recommendations before the Knox County commission before the end of this year.
One of the dogs who attacked Lowe was shot and killed at the scene.
The other was euthanized a few days later.
