Maryville (WVLT) -- A Knoxville motorcyclist has died after investigators say a truck pulled out in front of him.
The wreck happened at about 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of William Blount Drive and Morganton Road in Blount County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a pickup truck driven by 65 year-old Doris Woods of Louisville, Tennessee, turned in front of a motorcycle driven by 55 year-old Rex Peterson of Knoxville.
Peterson hit the truck and died.
Another bike riding behind him, James Daugherty, was able to avoid hitting the truck but also crashed his bike.
Daugherty was also hurt but the extent of his injuries are not being released.
THP says both Peterson and Daugherty had been drinking.
They also say the stop light at that intersection was yellow or red when the accident happened.
They have not issued any tickets.
