Fire Crews Quick Response Saves Knox County Home

Knox County (WVLT) -- Quick response time helped fire crews save a home in East Knox County.

The fire broke out around 11:00 AM Sunday morning on Union School Road.

Neighbors saw smoke pouring from the eaves along the edge of the home’s roof and called 9-1-1.

At least three Rural/Metro fire engines responded to the scene and determined the home was vacant.

Though the fire did not do much harm to the exterior of the home, Rural/Metro firefighters said its interior suffered heat and water damage.
