Knoxville (WVLT) - One woman is in the hospital recovering after she was stabbed in East Knoxville.
The Knoxville Police Department says 37-year-old Gina Kirk was stabbed in the back around 1:00 this morning at 404 McConnell Street.
Police say she also received several cuts to her arms.
She was transported to UT medical center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police add that one man was taken in for questioning but is not facing any charges due to Kirk's un-cooperation.
Right now, police say the investigation is at a stand-still.
