KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) The grand jury is the next stop for the case of the man charged with a deadly hit and run that killed a Knoxville man on Pellissippi Parkway in October.
Gabriel Cordova de la Rosa, 20, waived his preliminary hearing this morning.
He's charged with vehicular homicide, drunken driving and failure to render aid to the victim, Justin Smith, 32.
Police say de la Rosa slammed his Chevy Blazer into Smith's vehicle, pushing it off the road, and causing it to flip several times.
Police say when he left the scene, a concerned citizen followed, and detained him.
